Zara Yaqob

Zara Yaqob, born on the first day of the year 1399, was a prominent monarch of Ethiopia, renowned for his significant contributions to the nation's history. As a member of the illustrious Solomonic dynasty, he ruled under the regnal name Constantine I, a title that resonates with the legacy of his reign.

His rule, which spanned thirty-four years and two months from 1434 to 1468, was marked by a flourishing of Geʽez literature, showcasing the cultural richness of Ethiopia during this period.
