Zdravko Krivokapić, born on September second, nineteen fifty-eight, is a distinguished Montenegrin professor and former politician who held the office of Prime Minister of Montenegro from two thousand twenty to two thousand twenty-two. His academic career spans professorships at the Universities of Montenegro and East Sarajevo, where he has contributed significantly to the field of education.
In addition to his teaching, Krivokapić is a co-founder of the non-governmental organization 'We won't give up Montenegro.' This initiative was established by a group of Montenegrin professors and intellectuals in response to a controversial religion law that threatened the legal status and property of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro.
In August two thousand twenty, he was selected as the ballot representative for the 'For the Future of Montenegro' list, which secured second place in the parliamentary elections. Following this, he collaborated with Aleksa Bečić and Dritan Abazović to form a technocratic government, officially taking office in December two thousand twenty.
Krivokapić, who initially led a right-wing populist list during the elections, later aligned himself with the centrist Democratic Montenegro, led by President of the Parliament Aleksa Bečić. His political stance has been characterized as that of a moderate Christian democrat.
His tenure as Prime Minister came to an end when he was ousted in a motion of no confidence on February fourth, two thousand twenty-two. Despite this, he continued to serve in an acting capacity until April twenty-eighth, two thousand twenty-two, when he was succeeded by Dritan Abazović.
