Zdravko Tolimir, born on November twenty-seventh, nineteen forty-eight, was a prominent military officer who played a significant role during the Bosnian War. As a commander of the Army of Republika Srpska, he was deeply involved in the conflict that marked a tumultuous period in the region's history.

In his capacity as Assistant Commander of Intelligence and Security for the Bosnian Serb army, Tolimir reported directly to General Ratko Mladić. His leadership and decisions during the war led to serious allegations against him, including genocide, conspiracy to commit genocide, extermination, murder, persecution on ethnic grounds, and forced transfer.

Following the war, Tolimir was convicted of these grave crimes and sentenced to life imprisonment. He spent his final years in Scheveningen prison, where he died in two thousand sixteen, serving his sentence for the atrocities committed during the conflict.
