Zhong Nanshan

Zhong Nanshan, born on October twentieth, nineteen thirty-six, is a distinguished Chinese pulmonologist and physician, renowned for his significant contributions to public health and medical research. He served as the president of the Chinese Medical Association from two thousand five to two thousand nine and currently holds the position of editor-in-chief of the Journal of Thoracic Disease.

His international acclaim surged during the SARS outbreak, where he courageously challenged the official narrative that minimized the crisis's severity.
