Zoran Tegeltija, born on September twenty-ninth, nineteen sixty-one, is a prominent Bosnian Serb politician currently serving as the director of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina since June twenty twenty-three. His political journey has seen him take on various significant roles, including Minister of Finance and Treasury for a brief period from January to June twenty twenty-three.
Graduating from the School of Economics and Business at the University of Sarajevo in nineteen eighty-six, Tegeltija began his career in customs services. His political career took off when he was elected to the National Assembly of Republika Srpska in two thousand, representing the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats. He later became the mayor of Mrkonjić Grad in two thousand four, a position he held until two thousand eight.
In two thousand ten, he was appointed Minister of Finance of Republika Srpska, a role he maintained until the formation of the Radovan Višković government in two thousand eighteen. Following the general elections in two thousand eighteen, Tegeltija was appointed Chairman of the Council of Ministers, a position he held until the two thousand twenty-two elections, after which he continued to serve in the cabinet as Minister of Finance and Treasury.
His tenure as Chairman of the Council of Ministers was marked by significant political developments, and although he was succeeded by Borjana Krišto in two thousand twenty-two, Tegeltija's influence in Bosnian politics remains strong, culminating in his recent appointment as director of the ITA.
