Casey DeSantis

Casey DeSantis, born on June twenty-six, nineteen eighty, is an American former news journalist and the current first lady of Florida, a role she has held since her husband, Ron DeSantis, took office in 2019. Originally from Ohio, she pursued her education at the College of Charleston, where she not only excelled academically but also showcased her skills as a member of the equestrian team.

In two thousand nine, Casey married Ron DeSantis, marking the beginning of a partnership that would lead her to a prominent public role. Following their marriage, she became a local news broadcaster in Jacksonville, where she gained recognition for her work in journalism. However, her media career came to an end after her husband's electoral victory in 2018, as she transitioned into her duties as first lady.

In two thousand twenty-five, Casey found herself at the center of controversy due to the Hope Florida scandal, which led to an investigation by the Republican-controlled Florida Legislature. Since May of that year, she has been under criminal investigation by the Second Judicial Circuit State Attorney's Office, adding a complex chapter to her public life.
