Ron DeSantis, born on September 14, 1978, in Jacksonville, Florida, is a prominent American politician and attorney who has made significant strides in public service. He has been serving as the 46th governor of Florida since 2019, following a successful tenure as a U.S. representative for Florida's 6th congressional district from 2013 to 2018. A member of the Republican Party, DeSantis is known for his close alignment with former President Donald Trump and his role as a founding member of the Freedom Caucus.

DeSantis's educational background is impressive; he graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts and earned his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. His military career began in 2004 when he joined the U.S. Navy, where he rose to the rank of lieutenant and served as a legal advisor to SEAL Team One.
