Kaʻahumanu

Kaʻahumanu, born on March seventeenth, seventeen sixty-eight, was a prominent figure in the Hawaiian Kingdom, serving as both queen consort and regent. As the favorite wife of King Kamehameha I, she held a unique position of influence and power within the monarchy.

Her role as Kuhina Nui, or co-ruler, allowed her to shape the political landscape of Hawaii significantly. Kaʻahumanu was not only a beloved figure but also the most politically powerful woman of her time, continuing to exert her influence during the reigns of Kamehameha's first two successors.
