Kamehameha I, also known as Kamehameha the Great, was a pivotal figure in Hawaiian history, renowned for his role as the conqueror and first ruler of the Kingdom of Hawaii. His reign marked the unification of the Hawaiian Islands, a feat that established a centralized monarchy and laid the foundation for the future of Hawaii.
