She has made significant strides in her career, serving as the United States ambassador to Greece since two thousand twenty-five. Her political involvement includes leading the fundraising division for the Trump twenty-twenty presidential campaign, showcasing her commitment to Republican causes.

Guilfoyle's academic journey began at the University of California, Davis, followed by the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. Her legal career flourished as she became a prosecuting attorney in both San Francisco and Los Angeles. Notably, she served as an assistant district attorney in San Francisco from two thousand to two thousand four, gaining valuable experience in the legal field.

In her personal life, Guilfoyle was married to Democratic politician Gavin Newsom from two thousand one to two thousand six, during which time she held the title of First Lady of San Francisco.
