Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt, born on July twenty-nine, nineteen fifty-nine, is a prominent Indian actor and film producer renowned for his work in Hindi cinema, as well as in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, and Punjabi films. With a remarkable career spanning over four decades, he has acted in more than one hundred thirty-five films, showcasing his versatility through a range of intense and flawed hero roles that have captivated audiences.

Emerging from the illustrious Dutt family, he is the son of legendary actor-politicians Sunil Dutt and Nargis. Sanjay made his acting debut in the film Rocky, directed by his father in nineteen eighty-one. Although he faced a career slump in the years that followed, he found notable success with films like Vidhaata in nineteen eighty-two, Naam in nineteen eighty-six, and Thanedaar in nineteen ninety.

His breakthrough came in nineteen ninety with the films Saajan and Sadak, leading to a string of hits throughout the early nineties, including Adharm, Jeena Marna Tere Sang, Gumrah, Khalnayak, and Aatish. Despite facing setbacks, Dutt continued to deliver commercially successful films such as Daag: The Fire, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Vaastav: The Reality, and the iconic Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., among others, with his latest releases including KGF: Chapter 2 and Leo.

In April nineteen ninety-three, Dutt's life took a tumultuous turn when he was arrested under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act and the Arms Act, leading to a conviction for possession of illegal weapons. He served a five-year prison sentence, completing it in two thousand sixteen. His life story has garnered significant media attention, culminating in the biopic Sanju, released in two thousand eighteen, which became one of the highest-grossing films in Indian cinema.
