Archduchess Maria Johanna Gabriela of Austria, born on February fourth, seventeen fifty, was a prominent figure in the Habsburg dynasty as the eleventh child of Empress Maria Theresa and Francis I, Holy Roman Emperor.

Her life was marked by the expectations of aristocratic alliances, as she was originally intended to marry her second cousin, Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies. This union was anticipated to strengthen familial ties within the European nobility.
