Blanche of Anjou

Blanche of Anjou, born in the year one thousand two hundred eighty-three, was a prominent political figure in medieval Europe. As a member of the illustrious Capetian House of Anjou, she played a significant role in the royal dynamics of her time.

She is perhaps best known for her marriage to King James II of Aragon, becoming his second spouse. This union not only solidified political alliances but also positioned her as a key player in the governance of Aragon.

In the year one thousand three hundred ten, during her husband's absence, Blanche took on the responsibilities of Regent, serving as the
