Carrie Johnson

Carrie Johnson, born on March seventeenth, nineteen eighty-eight, is a prominent English media consultant and press secretary. She has made significant contributions as a senior advisor to the ocean conservation charity Oceana and serves as a patron of the Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation. Her marriage to Boris Johnson, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has brought her into the public eye, especially during his tenure from two thousand nineteen to two thousand twenty-two.

Raised in southwest London by her mother, Josephine McAfee, a lawyer, Carrie is the daughter of Matthew Symonds, co-founder of The Independent. She received her education at Godolphin and Latymer School before pursuing a degree in Art History and Theatre Studies at the University of Warwick. Her career began in two thousand nine as a press officer for the Conservative Party, where she quickly advanced to head of communications by two thousand eighteen.

In two thousand eighteen, Carrie began a relationship with Boris Johnson while he was still married to his second wife. Following their separation, she transitioned to a public relations role at Oceana. After Boris became Prime Minister, she made history as the first unmarried partner to officially reside in Downing Street, moving into the flat above eleven Downing Street.

In February two thousand twenty, shortly after Boris's divorce settlement, Carrie announced their engagement and her pregnancy. She welcomed their first child in April two thousand twenty. In January two thousand twenty-one, she took on a senior communications position at the Aspinall Foundation, a wildlife charity. The couple married in May two thousand twenty-one at Westminster Cathedral and have since welcomed three more children together.
