Dabiša of Bosnia, born in the year fourteen hundred, was a prominent figure in the Kotromanić dynasty, ascending to the throne as King of Bosnia in March of thirteen ninety-one. His reign marked a significant period in Bosnian history, as he was elected to succeed the esteemed Tvrtko I, the first king of the realm.
Initially, Dabiša proved to be a formidable leader, successfully maintaining the integrity of the Kingdom of Bosnia. His reign was characterized by resilience against external threats, notably from Hungary, Naples, and the encroaching Ottoman Turks, showcasing his strategic prowess and commitment to his kingdom.
However, the latter years of Dabiša's rule were marred by challenges, including the rise of powerful magnates within the kingdom. This shift in power dynamics led to a considerable loss of territory and influence for Bosnia, marking a turbulent end to his reign.
