Edge (wrestler)

Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Edge (wrestler)

Adam Copeland, known to wrestling fans as Edge, is a celebrated Canadian professional wrestler and actor, born on October 30, 1973. He has made a significant impact in the world of wrestling, particularly during his time with the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/WWE), where he performed from 1998 to 2011 and again from 2020 to 2023. Currently, he is signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he competes under his real name.

Copeland's journey in professional wrestling began in 1992, where he showcased his talents in various independent promotions. His big break came in 1997 when he signed a developmental deal with WWF, making his televised debut the following year as Edge. He quickly rose to prominence, winning the Intercontinental Championship in 1999 and forming a legendary tag team with his long-time friend Christian Cage. Together, they captured the World Tag Team Championship seven times and became known for their thrilling participation in Tables, Ladders, and Chairs matches, revitalizing tag team wrestling during the Attitude Era.

After the duo split in 2001, Edge embarked on a remarkable solo career, amassing a total of 31 championships in WWE. His accolades include a record seven reigns as World Heavyweight Champion, four WWE Championships, and being recognized as WWE's 14th Triple Crown Champion and 7th Grand Slam Champion. Notably, he won the 2001 King of the Ring tournament and made history by winning the first Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 21 in 2005, as well as the Royal Rumble match in 2010.

Edge initially retired in 2011 due to neck injuries, earning a place in the WWE Hall of Fame the following year. However, he made a triumphant return to wrestling in 2020 as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble match, later winning the event in 2021. This achievement made him the first wrestler to win the Royal Rumble after being inducted into the Hall of Fame. After concluding his WWE contract in September 2023, he joined AEW, debuting at WrestleDream and winning the AEW TNT Championship twice.

In addition to his wrestling career, Copeland has ventured into acting, appearing in films such as Highlander: Endgame and Money Plane, and making guest appearances on various television shows. He played notable roles in the Syfy series Haven and the historical drama Vikings, and currently stars as Ares in the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, earning an Emmy Award nomination for his performance.
