Ibrahim Khan Lodi, born in 1480, ascended to the throne as the last Sultan of the Delhi Sultanate in 1517, following the death of his father, Sikandar Khan. His reign marked the conclusion of the Lodi dynasty, a significant period in Indian history.
During his nine-year rule, Ibrahim faced numerous challenges, including internal strife and external threats. His leadership was characterized by attempts to consolidate power and maintain the integrity of his realm amidst growing unrest.
The turning point of his reign came in 1526, when he encountered Babur's invading forces at the historic Battle of Panipat. This decisive conflict not only led to Ibrahim's defeat and death but also paved the way for the establishment of the Mughal Empire in India, forever altering the subcontinent's political landscape.
