Jamasp

Jamasp, born in the year four hundred fifty, ascended to the Sasanian throne as the King of Kings of Iran, reigning from four hundred ninety-six to four hundred ninety-eight or nine. His rise to power came during a tumultuous period marked by the deposition of his elder brother, Kavad I, orchestrated by the influential nobility and clergy of the time.

As the son of Peroz I, Jamasp was part of a royal lineage that shaped the course of Iranian history. Despite the challenges he faced during his brief reign, his leadership was a reflection of the complex dynamics within the Sasanian Empire.
