Mahidevran

Mahidevran, also known as Gülbahar Hatun, was a prominent figure in the Ottoman Empire during the sixteenth century. Born in the year fifteen hundred, she captured the heart of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, becoming one of his most notable concubines.

Her name, which translates to 'spring rose' in Ottoman Turkish, reflects her beauty and the affection she garnered from the Sultan. Mahidevran was not only a beloved companion but also the mother of Şehzade Mustafa, who was a significant figure in the line of succession.
