Martin Velits

Martin Velits, born on February twenty-first, nineteen eighty-five, is a distinguished Slovakian former road bicycle racer. His professional career spanned a decade, from two thousand seven to two thousand seventeen, during which he showcased his talents with several prominent teams, including Wiesenhof, Team Milram, HTC–Highroad, and Quick-Step Floors.

Throughout his career, Martin was known for his competitive spirit and dedication to the sport. He shared the cycling world with his twin brother, Peter Velits, who also made a name for himself as a professional cyclist. Their journey together in the world of cycling has been a testament to their shared passion and commitment to the sport.

In October two thousand seventeen, following the retirement of his brother, Martin announced his own decision to retire from professional cycling. He chose to conclude his career after participating in the inaugural Tour of Guangxi, marking the end of an era for both brothers in the competitive cycling scene.
