Nexhmije Hoxha

Nexhmije Hoxha, born on February eighth, nineteen twenty-one, was a prominent Albanian communist politician, journalist, and partisan. She is best known as the wife of Enver Hoxha, the first leader of the People's Socialist Republic of Albania and the First Secretary of the Party of Labour of Albania. Their partnership was not only personal but also deeply intertwined with the political landscape of Albania during a transformative era.

Throughout her life, Nexhmije maintained a significant political presence, particularly during her husband's leadership. Her close relationship with Enver Hoxha allowed her to navigate the complexities of Albanian politics, and she became one of the few spouses of a ruling communist party leader to establish a high political profile of her own.
