Rajaram I

Rajaram I, born on February twenty-fourth, sixteen seventy, was a prominent figure in the Maratha Kingdom, ascending to the throne in sixteen eighty-nine. As the second son of the illustrious Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the kingdom, he played a crucial role in the continuation of his father's legacy.

His reign, which lasted until his death in seventeen hundred, was characterized by relentless conflict with the Mughal Empire. Despite the challenges he faced, Rajaram I demonstrated remarkable resilience and leadership, striving to protect and expand the Maratha territories.

Upon his passing, he was succeeded by his infant son, Shivaji II. The young prince's ascension was overseen by his capable regent, Rajmata Maharani Tarabai, ensuring the stability of the kingdom during a tumultuous period.
