Siem de Jong

Siem de Jong, born on January 28, 1989, is a distinguished former Dutch professional footballer known for his versatility as an attacking midfielder and striker. His football journey began in the youth academies of De Graafschap and Ajax, where he honed his skills before making a significant impact at Ajax.

De Jong made his professional debut with Ajax, where he quickly rose through the ranks to become the club's captain. Under his leadership, Ajax achieved remarkable success, clinching a record four consecutive Eredivisie titles from 2011 to 2014, solidifying his legacy at the club.

After a successful three-year stint with Premier League side Newcastle United, which included a loan period at PSV Eindhoven, De Jong returned to Ajax in 2017, continuing to contribute to the club's rich history.

Football talent runs in the family, as Siem's younger brother, Luuk de Jong, is also a professional football player, currently showcasing his skills at Porto.
