Ubol Ratana

Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Ubol Ratana

Ubol Ratana, born on April fifth, nineteen fifty-one, is a prominent member of the Thai royal family, known for her diverse roles as a politician, singer, film actor, social worker, sailor, and writer. As the eldest child of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) and Queen Sirikit, she holds a significant place in Thailand's royal lineage, being the elder sister of King Vajiralongkorn (Rama X).

In nineteen seventy-two, Ubol Ratana made a life-changing decision to marry American citizen Peter Ladd Jensen, which led her to settle in the United States. This marriage resulted in her relinquishing her royal title. After their divorce in nineteen ninety-eight, she returned to Thailand and resumed her royal duties, although she is styled as Princess Ubol Ratana without the designation of Her Royal Highness.

Following her return to Thailand in two thousand one, Ubol Ratana quickly re-engaged with her royal responsibilities, participating in numerous ceremonies and establishing charitable foundations aimed at enhancing the quality of life for the underprivileged.

In February two thousand nineteen, Ubol Ratana made headlines by announcing her candidacy for Prime Minister of Thailand as a member of the Thai Raksa Chart Party. However, her candidacy was met with controversy when her brother, King Vajiralongkorn, deemed it inappropriate and unconstitutional, leading to her disqualification by Thailand's election commission.
