As the elder brother of fellow rower Martin Sinković, Valent has made a significant mark in rowing history, particularly through their collaborative efforts on the water.

The Sinković brothers have established themselves as the most decorated Croatian Summer Olympians, having secured three Olympic gold medals together. Their remarkable journey includes victories in the double sculls at the 2016 Summer Olympics, the coxless pair at the 2020 Summer Olympics, and again in the coxless pair at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Additionally, they earned a silver medal in the quadruple sculls at the 2012 Summer Olympics alongside teammates David Šain and Damir Martin.

Valent's prowess extends beyond the Olympics; he is a six-time world champion, achieving this title twice in quadruple sculls, double sculls, and coxless pair events. Furthermore, he has claimed seven European championship titles, with four in double sculls and three in coxless pair. His early career also saw him become a two-time U23 world champion in quadruple sculls, racing alongside his brother and their teammates.

Since their international debut in two thousand and eight, the Sinković brothers have consistently pushed the boundaries of rowing excellence.
