Vima Kadphises

Vima Kadphises, a prominent figure in the history of the Kushan Empire, reigned as emperor from approximately one hundred thirteen to one hundred twenty-seven CE. His rule marked a significant period of expansion and cultural development within the empire.

According to the Rabatak inscription, Vima Kadphises was the son of Vima Takto, a predecessor who laid the groundwork for the empire's prosperity. This lineage positioned him as a key player in the continuation of the Kushan dynasty.

Vima Kadphises is also recognized as the father of Kanishka, another influential emperor who would further the legacy of the Kushan Empire. His reign is noted for its contributions to trade and the spread of Buddhism, which flourished under his leadership.
