Vittoria della Rovere

Vittoria della Rovere, born on February seventh, sixteen twenty-two, was a prominent figure in the political landscape of her time, serving as the Grand Duchess of Tuscany through her marriage to Grand Duke Ferdinando II. This union not only solidified her status but also enriched the House of Medici with a wealth of treasures, many of which are now housed in the illustrious Palazzo Pitti and the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.

As a mother, Vittoria had four children with Ferdinando II, two of whom survived infancy. Among them was Cosimo III, who would go on to become Tuscany's longest-reigning monarch, and Francesco Maria, who took on a significant role within the Church. Her lineage and influence were further solidified when she inherited the Duchies of Rovere and Montefeltro following the death of her grandfather, Francesco Maria della Rovere.

Upon her passing, these duchies reverted to her second son, Francesco Maria, ensuring the continuation of her legacy. In her later years, Vittoria was entrusted with the care of her three grandchildren, highlighting her enduring commitment to her family and their future.
